The 100 million AED jackpot is the largest-ever lottery prize won in the UAE.
The UAE Lottery has confirmed that one lucky ticket from Saturday’s Lucky Day Draw has won the 100 million AED grand prize.
“Dh100 million Grand Prize has been won! Tonight’s Lucky Day Draw #251018 crowned our very first Dh100 million winner,” said The UAE Lottery, the country’s only licensed lottery, in a social media post.
Saturday’s draw produced more than seven thousand winning tickets in addition to the grand prize winner, who matched all seven numbers correctly to scoop the jackpot.
The winner’s identity will be withheld until necessary compliance checks have been completed.
UAE residents previously historically have been able to access several different lottery products. However, The UAE Lottery has been the country’s sole GCGRA-licensed lottery since late 2004.
