The new integrated resort is key to Ras Al Khaimah’s goal of attracting more than 3.5 million tourists by 2030.
The UAE’s first casino is on track to open its doors in March 2027, according to the project’s CEO, Abdulla Al Abdouli.
Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah will feature 1,500+ hotel rooms and a main gaming floor larger than Wynn Resorts’ flagship Las Vegas venue.
“We are committed to delivering the resort by 2027, and it is on plan,” said Abdouli. “If you look at the site, you will see a lot of work happening. March 2027 is approaching fast.”
“The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority aims to attract more than 3.5 million visitors by 2030,” he added. “To achieve this, we need more hospitality keys and active investor participation in real estate, including hotels and apartments.”
Wynn Al Marjan Island is the only resort development in the UAE to have been granted a GCGRA license to operate commercial gaming facilities.
Wynn Resorts competitor MGM Resorts is hoping to also acquire a license so that its own UAE resort can become the first casino in Dubai.
