The GCGRA has now issued licenses to 10 gaming-related vendors.
Fennica Gaming has become the latest major industry player to receive a gaming-related vendor license in the UAE.
The Finnish company, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Finnish National Lottery Veikkaus, is the 10th gaming vendor to be licensed by the GCGRA.
“Receiving the gaming related vendor licence from the GCGRA is a significant step for Fennica Gaming as we continue to grow our global presence,” said Fennica Gaming Managing Director Timo Kiiskinen.
“The UAE represents a new dynamic market and for us a possibility to enter to a new continent and new markets.
“We are excited to contribute to the development of its regulated gaming sector with our trusted and innovative solutions.”
The license allows Fennica Gaming to provide its Gaming as a Service offering to other accredited operators in the UAE.
Fennica also offers eInstant and eCasino products, though no online casinos have been issued UAE licenses to date.
The regulated gaming market is fast taking shape in the UAE, with lottery tech pair Scientific Games and Random State acquiring licenses last week and International Gaming Technologies receiving accreditation earlier in May.
